Premier League 14/15 – The End is Near!

So guys, the end of the Premier League is no more than a handful of games away. I’m not going to lie, I’m a bit upset about that! This season has gone so fast, and has thrown up a few surprises, although the teams we expected are near the top, and the same can be said at the bottom end of the league.

This season’s surprise team has to be Southampton. In contention for a top four place just over a month ago, they have fallen away a touch, but are still in with a shout of a Europa League place, which would be a phenomenal achievement for them.

Man City have surprised many with just how bad their recent capitulation has been. They are even in danger of losing their Champions League place, which would be catastrophic for them.

Louis Van Gaal looks as though he is on the right track with United, their recent form has been very impressive and are building strong momentum for next season.

Arsenal have been supreme recently, with eight wins on the bounce. Wenger seems to finally be piecing together a team that can challenge at the top, and are on course to retain the FA Cup.

Chelsea are on course to win the league. Mourinho knows what he is doing as far as the Premier League is concerned.

At the bottom we have the three promoted teams all struggling, with Leicester showing decent recent form. QPR are in danger of becoming a yo-yo club, as West Brom once were. Sunderland and Hull have been sucked into it and are in real danger of relegation. Villa’s revival under Tim Sherwood is starting to gather pace and their recent victory over Spurs was impressive!

All in all, we perhaps have seen a drop in quality compared to other top leagues, but the Premier League remains the most entertaining!
